Matilda

A little about me.  We have 4 daughters and 7 grandchildren ( aged 5 to 33).  They are the highlight of my life.  It has been hard not to feel those hugs and be with those kids.  One of the best things in my life is to just sit and watch all the interaction between my children and grandchildren.  I love every minute of it and miss it terribly.  On the other hand, I get to see my husband of 54 years, 24/7.  Its a good thing we get along well.  Maybe we get along because we can go a few hours without talking, just being busy with our hobbies
.
I have been retired for around10 years.  After a diversified career, I looked forward to retirement and it has been good.  I guess there were a lot of surprises in retirement and we will tackle them another day.

How’s my health?  I always struggle to answer that one.  I think when one has pain most of the time, you get numb to it and just function.  Most of the time I can function quite well.  I have rheumatoid and osteoarthritis.  The rheumatoid pain is mainly in my wrists and the thumbs which do not bend.  Rheumatoid, however, affects your whole being.  It causes fatigue, brain fog, and overall blah.  My medication results in a compromised immune system.  Osteo is in my knees and other joints.  I had one knee replaced about 9 years ago (it’s been great) and now need the other replaced.  I have lymphedema (no one knows why) on my left side.  I guess that covers the majors and I will spare you the minors.  I provided this review, not so anyone would feel sorry for me, but to let you know that you are not alone.

I love to travel, go to casinos, cross stitch and eat, not is any specific order.  I will save those for another day.  Oh I guess there is a lot more I could tell you, so keep reading and we’ll see where this takes us.
